We are the year 5 class and we work with Mr Stone.

Our Class Moto

Our class Moto is 'ALWAYS REACH FOR THE STARS'. We all want to succeed and here at school you will be supported all the way when trying to reach your goals.

P.E. and Outdoor Learning Kits

You will need your outdoor P.E. kits every Tuesday and your indoor P.E. kits every Thursday. 

Outdoor Learning is now an integral part of our curriculum. During the winter months we need to bring our wellies and a warm coat as we will be going outside in all weathers!

General Class Information

It is a good idea to bring a water bottle to school as after breaktime you might be thirsty, especially during warmer weather. We do not however need to bring ice as this can be dangerous if used incorrectly and can cause alot of mess.

Homework

We have regular homework in years 5 and 6. It is given out every Monday and should be returned the following Monday. The homework usually includes:

- Spellings. These need to be practised so that you can join in fully with the spelling lessons in school.
- Literacy. The literacy work will be linked to what we are doing in school and will consolidate or extend your existing knowledge.
-Numeracy. The Numeracy work will be linked to what we are doing in school and will consolidate or extend your existing knowledge.
- Any other relevent work. On occasions you may be set additional homework to complete, depending on what we are studying in school.

For every piece of homework received back on a Monday you will earn a patch. You will also earn a patch for bringing in your homework and reading diaries.

Rewards

We have group patches which are given out for good behaviour, sitting smartly, returning homework, putting your hand up and various other things. At the end of every week the group with the most patches all recieve a prize.

Every week we earn marbles which will give us golden time every Friday afternoon. We have lots of games available to play and there are more being added every term.
